Adult Sailing

Wednesday Adult Sailing is open to members and non-members every Wednesday evening from June 25th to August 13th from 5pm - 7pm.

No previous sailing experience is needed, but more experienced sailors are welcome, and the instruction will be geared to the participants.  The class size is limited, so don’t wait to sign up!

Please arrive early to get into your boats to begin lessons. There are no refunds. In the event of a weather cancellation we will try our best to reschedule you for another session if space is available.

  • The lessons will be conducted in stable and comfortable Sonar sailboats.  No previous sailing experience is needed, but more experienced sailors are welcome, and the instruction will be geared to the participants.

Participants can come for one class or for all of them, but we recommend that you try to make it to at least 4 classes to get your “sea legs”.

  • This class in designed for our students who have sailing and/or racing experience. Or, have been participants in our program for a few years.

This class will focus on developing and improving sailing skill, such as; spinnakers, mark rounding, starts, etc. We will also try to get in some racing if there are enough boats to race.

Classes will be geared to the needs of the students in each boat.  Rigging of boats will start at 4pm with the plan to leave the dock at 5pm.

  • If you have a group interested in learning to sail or just a few hours on the water, or are interested in one on one instruction, we offer private lessons in our Sonars.

Private lessons are charged by the hour, starting at $100 for the first participant and $50 for each additional sailor

Classes can be scheduled at your convenience by contacting the Program Director at programdirector@falmouthharborsailing.org or 203-448-9172
