Join the Buzzards Bay Sailing Team sailing coach Jane O'Connor as she teaches you the ins and outs of C420 racing. Clinics will run Monday and Tuesday from 9am-1pm, as well as Thursday and Friday from 1-5pm. You are welcome to bring your own 420 which can be stored on one of our floating docks for the duration of the clinic, or contact FHSS Program director Russ Gasdia to borrow one for the week.
About the Coach
Jane Kirk O’Connor was a three time All American Skipper at Tufts, where she won the National Championship in 1990 as the A-division Skipper. Prior to enrolling at Tufts she won the ISSA Mallory Trophy representing Tabor Academy. After graduating from Tufts she sailed Europe Dinghies on the International Circuit for several years. She competed in two Olympic Trials, and she represented the USA in the 1994 Goodwill Games in St. Petersburg Russia. Jane has coached at Wild Harbor YC, Bass River YC, Falmouth YC, Nantucket YC and Boston College. From 2023 to 2025 she was the Program Director at the Beverly Yacht Club in Marion MA. Jane is also a STEM Specialist with a Masters Degree in Education. She currently works at the St. Joseph's School in Needham MA.
